Επίπεδo: The Highest level (Fortgeschrittene)

C’1 => C1 class presupposes linguistic knowledge at a very advanced level and corresponds to the fifth level (C1) of the six level scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. The students who choose to attend this class either want to be examined at a Panhellenic level in German as a special subject and this certificate helps them or because they want to study abroad. So students having the certificate Goethe-Zertifikat C1, are automatically exempted from linguistic introductory exams in several German universities and higher schools but also from preliminary courses (Studienkollegs). To finish C1 level, besides the student’s personal will and effort, 6 teaching hours are required weekly that are divided in the analysis of written texts (Leseverstehen), oral practice (Ausdrucksfähigkeit) but also listening practice (Hörverstehen).

C’2 =>

Finishing C2 class which presupposes a very advanced , high level of linguistic knowledge, the students are now -theoretically-able to know German at a native speaker level. It corresponds to the sixth and highest level (C2) of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. How many hours students will have German lessons, will depend on their linguistic level and it ranges from 6 to 8 hours. The speaking exam demands the students be able to read a text about the size of an A4 piece of paper paying particular attention to pronunciation and punctuation. Also, they must orally develop one of the topics given to them , having a monologue for about 10 minutes. Then, they will be asked questions. Particular attention must be paid to the written exam which includes reading and the analysis of a literature text (optionally) which the students will choose from 4 options. They must have linguistic knowledge to be able to find synonyms in texts mainly of scientific interest but also grammar because they must transform sentences with the same meaning but using different words. The C2 certificate exempts foreign student candidates of German universities from linguistic admission exams.
