A New School Year, A New Journey

Αγαπητοί γονείς, κηδεμόνες και αγαπημένοι μας μαθητές,

Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά και συγκίνηση σας καλωσορίζω σε μια ακόμη νέα σχολική χρονιά στο D. Grivaki Language Center.

Κάθε Σεπτέμβρης είναι για εμάς μια καινούργια αρχή. Νέα πρόσωπα, γνώριμα χαμόγελα, νέοι στόχοι, όνειρα, προσδοκίες. Πάνω απ’ όλα, όμως, είναι η στιγμή που ξανασυναντιόμαστε ως μια μεγάλη εκπαιδευτική οικογένεια.

Για περισσότερα από 20 χρόνια, πιστεύω βαθιά ότι η εκπαίδευση δεν είναι απλώς βιβλία, εξετάσεις και πιστοποιήσεις. Είναι σχέση. Είναι εμπιστοσύνη. Είναι το χέρι που απλώνουμε σε ένα παιδί όταν δυσκολεύεται και το βλέμμα που του λέει “μπορείς” όταν εκείνο δεν είναι ακόμη σίγουρο για τον εαυτό του.

Σε εσάς, τους γονείς και κηδεμόνες, θέλω να πω ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ. Γιατί μας εμπιστεύεστε κάτι πολύ πιο σημαντικό από την εκμάθηση μιας ξένης γλώσσας: μας εμπιστεύεστε ένα κομμάτι από την πορεία των παιδιών σας. Και αυτή την εμπιστοσύνη τη θεωρούμε ευθύνη και τιμή.

Και σε εσάς, τους μαθητές μας, μικρούς και μεγάλους, θέλω να πω κάτι ακόμη πιο απλό:

Εδώ δεν χρειάζεται να είστε τέλειοι. Χρειάζεται να προσπαθείτε, να ρωτάτε, να κάνετε λάθη, να ανακαλύπτετε, να προχωράτε και να μη φοβάστε να ονειρεύεστε.

Γιατί μια ξένη γλώσσα δεν είναι απλώς ένα ακόμη μάθημα.
Είναι ένα παράθυρο στον κόσμο.
Είναι επικοινωνία, αυτοπεποίθηση, γνώση, ελευθερία.
Είναι μια πόρτα που σήμερα ανοίγουμε μαζί και αύριο μπορεί να σας οδηγήσει οπουδήποτε επιλέξετε.

Η δική μας υπόσχεση και φέτος παραμένει η ίδια: να βλέπουμε πίσω από τον μαθητή τον άνθρωπο. Να σεβόμαστε τη διαφορετικότητα, τον προσωπικό ρυθμό, τις δυνατότητες και τις ανάγκες κάθε παιδιού και κάθε ενήλικα. Να εξελισσόμαστε, να καινοτομούμε και να δημιουργούμε ένα σχολείο στο οποίο η γνώση συνδέεται με τη χαρά, την ασφάλεια και την έμπνευση.

Εύχομαι η φετινή χρονιά να γεμίσει τις αίθουσές μας με γέλια, προσπάθεια, μικρές και μεγάλες νίκες. Και όταν φτάσουμε στο τέλος της, να μη μετρήσουμε μόνο πόσα μάθαμε, αλλά πόσο προχωρήσαμε, πόσο πιστέψαμε στον εαυτό μας και πόσες νέες πόρτες καταφέραμε να ανοίξουμε.

Καλώς ήρθατε στη νέα μας σχολική χρονιά.
Καλώς ήρθατε ξανά στο D. Grivaki Language Center.
Εδώ όπου κάθε μαθητής έχει τη δική του διαδρομή — και κάθε διαδρομή αξίζει να γίνει ένα όμορφο ταξίδι.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Our Dear Students,

It is with great joy and emotion that I welcome you to another new school year at D. Grivaki Language Center.

Every September marks a new beginning for us. New faces, familiar smiles, new goals, dreams, and expectations. Above all, however, it is the time when we come together once again as one big educational family.

For more than 20 years, I have deeply believed that education is about so much more than books, exams, and certificates. It is about connection. It is about trust. It is the hand we extend to a child when they are struggling and the look that says, “You can do this,” when they are not yet sure they believe it themselves.

To you, our parents and guardians, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you. You entrust us with something far more important than simply teaching your children a foreign language: you allow us to become part of their journey. We consider that trust both a great responsibility and a true privilege.

And to you, our students, young and old, I would like to say something even simpler:

You do not need to be perfect here. You simply need to try, to ask questions, to make mistakes, to discover, to keep moving forward, and never be afraid to dream.

Because a foreign language is not simply another school subject.
It is a window to the world.
It is communication, confidence, knowledge, and freedom.
It is a door that we open together today — a door that tomorrow may lead you wherever you choose to go.

Our promise remains the same this year: to always see the person behind every student. To respect each learner’s individuality, personal pace, abilities, and needs, whether they are a child or an adult. To continue evolving, innovating, and creating a school where learning is connected with joy, safety, inspiration, and a true sense of belonging.

I hope this school year fills our classrooms with laughter, effort, discovery, and both small and great achievements. And when we reach the end of the year, may we measure our success not only by how much we have learned, but by how far we have come, how much we have grown to believe in ourselves, and how many new doors we have managed to open.
